    What is the French Broad Food Coop? We are a community-owned co-operative — a business owned by the people who work and shop here; a place where everyone makes a difference. From our days as a buying club of friends and families in 1975 to the bustling downtown storefront we have today, the Co-op has been a center for the community and a leader in healthful and natural living.

    The French Broad Food Co-op is about a lot of things, but first and foremost it’s about you. You own it! You shape it! You make it grow! We appreciate your commitment to us from the bottom of our hearts!

  • Become an Owner

    Becoming an Owner of FBFC is easy! Ask a cashier for an application, or print one at home from the link below and bring it in to a cashier.

    A full equity share is $250. This payment may be made in 10 annual payments of $25. In 5-7 days your ownership card will be available at the registers with a new owner packet.

    You can pay for your equity share as part of your grocery purchase or separately with cash, check, credit or debit card.
